چکیده

This review paper discusses the basic problems related to use of cohesive models simulate initiation and development failure in various types engineering issues. The most commonly used zone (CZMs) are described. Recent achievements field modeling characterized, with particular emphasis on problem mixed mode loading, influence strain rate, stress state triaxiality, fatigue. A separate chapter work is devoted identification parameters. Examples CZMs for analysis fracture process applications, both macro microscopic scale, given. directions were indicated as well issues that currently under particularly intensive development.

Gradient Bounds for Minimizers of Free Discontinuity Problems Related to Cohesive Zone Models in Fracture Mechanics

In this note we consider a free discontinuity problem for a scalar function, whose energy depends also on the size of the jump. We prove that the gradient of every smooth local minimizer never exceeds a constant, determined only by the data of the problem.

modeling of hydraulic fracture problem in partially saturated porous media using cohesive zone model

in this paper, a finite element model is developed for the fully hydro-mechanical analysis of hydraulic fracturing in partially saturated porous media. the model is derived from the framework of generalized biot theory. the fracture propagation is governed by a cohesive fracture model. the flow within the fracture zone is modeled by the lubrication equation. the displacement of solid phase, and...

Cohesive Zone Modeling of Mode I Fracture in Adhesive Bonded Joints

This paper deals with the application of Cohesive Zone Model (CZM) concepts to study mode I fracture in adhesive bonded joints. In particular, an intrinsic piece-wise linear cohesive surface relation is used in order to model fracture in a pre-cracked bonded Double Cantilever Beam (DCB) specimen. Finite element implementation of the CZM is accomplished by means of the user element (UEL) feature...

Fracture Analysis of Adhesive Joints Using Intrinsic Cohesive Zone Models

In this paper Cohesive Zone Model (CZM) concepts are applied in order to study mode I fracture in a pre-cracked bonded Double Cantilever Beam (DCB) specimen. A cohesive surface element is implemented in a Finite Element commercial code using intrinsic cohesive zone models: exponential, bilinear and trapezoidal traction-separation laws. The sensitivity of cohesive zone parameters in predicting t...
